ORCHARD ROAD

This project included the full internal and external refurbishment of an existing house near Orchard Road in Cork City. The works included the replacement of all windows and doors, rain water goods, soffits, fascias, insulation works, internal finsihes, bathrooms and kitchen replacement. A large roof window was installed to the dining area with a three sided glass bay window which captures the view of an olive tree. Particular attention was given to the rear garden areas which required extensive works to improve privacy and reduce views of surrounding buildings. A larch slatted fence was constructed to the perimeter of the garden. A series of planters were constructed to allow planting of specimen beech trees at a high level to obscure views of the large building to the east. The outdoor space includes a seating area with festoon lighting which creates an extension to the internal living areas and improves views from kitchen and dining areas.
